        I Love You Because

Go to the website. Log on as a student.  Type in our password-foxtent2.  We are going to look at a back issue from May/June 2018.  Scroll down until you see the word Archive on the lower left side of the screen. Click on the book.  This will bring up the screen that says Issues at the top.  Look to the left side of the screen for the box that is titled Filter By Month.  Click the box beside May/June.  Scroll down to see the magazine May/June 2018 titled “I Love You Because.”    Now you can watch the video, play the game and read the magazine.  We will be doing the May/June 2020 magazines later this month.

4.       Mother’s Day Projects:

·         Card:  Find the paper that has the words “I love you because…” printed in bubble letters.  Thinking about mom, help your child finish the sentence.  Then have your child decorate the page.  We use colored pencils at school to help promote and encourage finer motor control when coloring smaller drawings, like the bubble letters.  After your child has decorated the paper, fold the paper in half to create the card.  Have your child decorate the front of the card by writing Mom, drawing pictures for mom, etc.  Then, turn the card over and have your child sign the back.
·         Potholder:  Find the muslin colored potholder in the large Ziploc bag.  Take is out and have your child decorate the potholder.  Dry erase markers and sharpie markers are permanent on fabric and will not wash out.  Encourage your child to sign the potholder.  Possible decorations to draw on the potholder might include: the word Mom, rainbows, flowers, happy faces, a picture of mom, sunshine, handprint, animals, etc.  Decorate both sides of the potholder if you like.  Set is aside along with your card for mom.
·         Booklet:  Locate the Fold-and-Go Booklet in your letter Jj packet.  It has 4 pictures of a mom on the paper and bold black letters “Mom Starts Like…”   Have your child color the page.  Follow the directions at the bottom of the page to complete the booklet.  Watch your child for proper scissor grip and careful, thumbs-up cutting.  Read the completed booklet together now or save it for Mother’s Day or do both!

5.       Bible Story:   It’s CHAPEL DAY

Watch the video from Pastor Mark and Pastor Andy.
