REMINDERS:
·         Remember to write your name on all of your papers.
·         Check the weather.  Draw a simple picture if you like.  (For example: a sun for sunny, a cloud for cloudy, a cloud with some curly lines for windy and a rain drop for rainy.  OR you could decide to just draw a lion for a wild weather day and a lamb for a calm and sunny (gentle) weather day.
·         Figure out the day of the week and read the number – “Today is Wednesday,
April 1st ,2020 and we have been in school 128 days.
·         Do cross-over exercises.  Touch your left hand to your right ear.  Touch your right hand to your left ear so your arms are across your body.  Uncross arms and shake them out.  Now touch your left hand to your right shoulder and your right hand to your left shoulder.  You’ve made an X.  Uncross and shake out your arms.  Continue repeating the pattern touching your elbows, hips, knees, and feet.
·         Balance on one foot for 12 seconds, then switch feet and balance on your other foot.  (It’s a new month so we added one more second from 11 seconds to 12 seconds.)
·         Practice opposites.  Try to name at least 5 every day.  Add more as you think of them.
·         Help your child to continue to hear initial sounds of words.  Ask him/her to tell you what sound he/she hears when you say a word.

·         Make a list of 5 words that begin with the “Ee” sound.  Be sure to tell your child that the letter E sometimes says its name like in the words Easter, eat, enormous, and so on.  And sometimes makes the sound you hear at the beginning of the word egg, everywhere, energy, elephant and so on.

·         Bible Story:   Easter (Luke 24:1-12)
Try singing the Bible story today or simply read it.

Sing “Jesus Died upon the Cross” to the tune “This Little Gospel Light of Mine.”

Jesus died upon the cross; thank You, thank You, God!
(Make a cross with your index fingers; clap on “thank You.”)
Jesus died upon the cross; thank You, thank You, God!
Jesus died upon the cross; thank You, thank You, God!
For Your love, for Your love, thank You, God.
        (Hug yourself.)

Jesus came alive for us; thank You, thank You, God!  (Repeat two more times.)
(Put your hands together like a cave, and then have them “explode” in an outward motion; clap on “thank You.”)
For Your love, for Your love, thank You, God!
        (Hug yourself.)

I will live with You in heaven; thank You, thank You, God.  (Repeat two more times.)
(Cross your hands on your heart, then move them outward; clap on “thank You.”)
For Your love, for Your love, thank You, God.
        (Hug yourself.)

Prayer:  Dear Jesus, thank You for dying on the cross for us.  Thank You for becoming alive again.  Thank You for loving me.  Amen.

PLEASE REMEMBER:
·         You can save some ideas for later.
·         You don’t have to do it ALL.
·         Pace yourself!
