6.       Bible Story:
a.       Today you will need a cross, a large rock, and a perfume bottle.  Place these items in a bag and take them out when indicated in the story.
b.       First take out the cross.  A long, long time ago Jesus died on the cross.  That made His friends very sad.  The friends of Jesus took His body and put it into a big cave called a tomb.
c.        Take out the rock.  A big heavy stone was rolled in front of the opening of the tomb.  On Sunday morning, Mary and some of her friends decided to put some perfume on the body of Jesus.
d.       Take out the perfume and smell it.  As the women got closer and closer to the tomb, they wondered who would move the big, heavy stone that covered the opening.  When they got to the tomb, they discovered that the big stone had already been rolled away!  Move the stone.  They peeked inside the tomb, but they could not find the body or Jesus anywhere.  Look all around as you speak, then look surprised.  An angel said, “Jesus is not here!  He is risen!  Jesus is alive!”  The women ran away.  They hurried to tell the good news to Jesus’ friends.  The women said, “Jesus is alive!”
e.       Ask:  What part of the story did you like best?
f.        Prayer:  Dear Jesus, help us to always believe that You died and rose again.  Thank You for Your promise to take us to heaven someday.  Amen.
