Let’s Get Ready: Tools you will
need to do your work.

Pencil

Crayons and/or Colored Pencils

Manipulatives (These are items that your child
can count, sort, make patterns with, and so on.
For example: color crayons, Easter eggs, erasers, paper clips, clothes
pins, Legos – be creative.

Journal– Find your
journal. Turn to the letter I page in
your journal and draw a picture of something the begins with the “Ii” sound.

Sharing- Tell your grown up
about something that begins with Ii.
5.
Review: Look in your paper packet for this week. Find the paper with the Easter eggs at the
bottom of the page. Follow the
directions on the paper.
6.
Bible Story: Jesus’ Ascension (Acts 1:3-12; Matthew 28:20)
Props: Place some ice cubes into a bowl of
water. Let the ice cubes disappear while
you share the Bible story today.
Find the paper with the words
“Jesus Ascends into Heaven” at the top of the page. Briefly retell the story from this week. Have your child follow the directions at the
bottom of the page.
Check the ice cubes. Give a cheer when they can no longer be seen.
Conclude: We can’t see the ice cubes, but we can
feel that they make the water cold. We
can’t see Jesus, but we know that He is with us and that He loves us and
helps us.
Prayer: Thank you Jesus, for always being with us
and taking care of us. We love you Jesus. Amen.

IT’S DERBY TIME!!!!!!!!

Find your paper with the words SHOEBOX DERBY at
the top of the page.
·
Materials:
Timer or stopwatch, tape measure or ruler, ramp or slide, something to
mark start and finish lines, obstacles
for your obstacle course – cones, lawn chairs, toys, tunnels – use your
imagination!!
·
Grown-ups, help your child fill out the stat
sheet as he/she works through the questions.
·
Measurement – Help your child measure his/her
racer.
·
Ramp or Slide – Have your child place the racer
at the top of the incline and let the racer go.
Have your timer ready. You can
also say, “On your mark. Get set. Let go!”
·
Obstacle Course – Set up your obstacle
course. Include a start line and a
finish line. Demonstrate how to go
around the obstacles if your child needs help.
Have him/her stand at the start line; tell your child when to “Go!” and
time until he/she crosses the finish line.
·
Drag Race – Set up a start line and a finish
line. Encourage your child to run as
fast as he/she can pulling the racer.
“On your mark. Get set. Go!”
Start timing. Stop when he/she crosses
the finish line.
