Bible Story: Review - The Great Commission (Matthew
28:16-20)
Memory work: Go… and tell
the good news to all. Mark 16:15
·
Find the paper that says The Great Commission at
the top and has 4 pictures. You can cut
these pictures apart to show Jesus and then the other people from around the
world who need to know about His love.
·
Remind your child that the Bible tells us lots
of stories about how Jesus’ friends did just what He told them to do. After Jesus went back to heaven, they told
everyone the good news about how much Jesus loves them. We are also friends of Jesus! He asks us to tell other the good news
too! He says, “Go…and tell the good news
to all.” The good news is Jesus’
love. Whom can you tell about Jesus’
love?
·
After this brief review, locate the picture of
the earth with the words “Go and tell the good news to all,” across the top of
the page. Have your child color the water
parts of the earth blue and the land parts of the earth green.
·
Next find the paper that has pictures of faces
of people from around the world. Have your
child color these people, then carefully cut around them with scissors.
·
Now have your child glue the faces around the
edge of the paper with the earth on it OR arrange the face of the people across
the earth in the shape of a cross.
·
NOTE: This is a big multi-step project and may
take several days to complete.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, You are a very special
Friend. We want to tell others all about
Your love. Help me to be a good friend too. Amen.
