Letter “Cc” Handwriting– Locate
the paper with the lowercase letter “Cc”.
Before your child writes on the paper, have him/her make the shape of
the lowercase letter C in the air(Cloud Writing). Have your child “Cloud Write” the letter 5
times. Then trace over the letter on the
paper with his/her finger. Now, get your
pencil. Start at the dot at the top of
the letter and carefully make the letter.
It’s a curvy letter, so take your time making your letter carefully,
trying to stay inside the lines. Color
the pictures at the bottom of the page.
Scribbling is not acceptable at this point in the school year. Remind
your child to use at least 3 colors.

Math: Time
·
Set up a pretend restaurant.
·
Discuss the types of food your child orders when
you go out to eat.
·
Have your child identify breakfast foods, lunch
foods, and dinner foods.
·
Ask your child, “When do you eat breakfast? When do you eat dinner? “
·
Help your child identify that when he/she wakes
up, it is morning, and that is usually when people eat breakfast. When you eat dinner, it is typically
evening. Finally, tell you child that in
the middle of the day when they are eating lunch, it is afternoon.
·
Name a time of day and have your child “order” a
food that is typically eaten during that time.
Continue to name a couple more times of day so that your child can
practice naming additional food.
Practice:
·
Draw a simple window. Talk about the position of the sun in the
morning, afternoon, and evening.
·
Have your child draw a picture of an activity
he/she likes to do and draw the sun or moon in the appropriate location to
identify the time of day.
Check for
success:
·
Name an activity that happens at a certain time
of day.
·
Have your child state whether the activity
occurs in the morning, afternoon, or evening.

Bible Story: The Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20)
Today you will need your “crowd”
from yesterday, footstool, and a cross.
Place all these props where you plan to tell the story.
Pretend
to be Jesus. Review the details of the
story. Walk with your child to the
“mountain.” Stand on the footstool and
raise your hands above your head. Say
the Bible words from Mark 16:15, “Go … and tell the good news to all.” Invite your child to stand on the footstool,
pretend to be Jesus and repeat the Bible words.
(If you have other children with you, let them have a turn too.)
God
wants all people in the world to know how much He loves them. He wants people to know that He sent Jesus to
die for their sins and to come alive again.
God wants short people to know that God loves them, tall people, people
of all sizes, colors, and shapes. God loves all people.
Remind
your child that Jesus had one more important message for everyone when He was
on the mountain with them. Raise your
hands above your head and say, “I am with you always.”
Prayer: Have
your child practice praying – begin: Dear
Jesus, then have your child say “thank you” for something, or “please”
for something or both. You conclude the
prayer. Encourage your child to echo “Amen.”
