·         Figure out the day of the week and read the number – “Today is Wednesday, April 29,2020 and we have been in school 142 days.
·         Do cross-over exercises.  Touch your left hand to your right ear.  Touch your right hand to your left ear so your arms are across your body.  Uncross arms and shake them out.  Now touch your left hand to your right shoulder and your right hand to your left shoulder.  You’ve made an X.  Uncross and shake out your arms.  Continue repeating the pattern touching your elbows, hips, knees, and feet.
·         Practice opposites.  Try to name at least 5 every day.  Add more as you think of them.
·         Help your child to continue to hear initial sounds of words.  Ask him/her to tell you what sound he/she hears when you say a word.

3.       Make a list of 5 words that begin with the “Ii” sound.  Remind your child that the letter I makes two sounds.  The sound it makes in the words insect, invisible, in and so on and the sound it makes in the words ice, ice cream, iron, ivory, etc.

Watch the video, and play the game, if you like.  Write your name at the top of page 4 of your magazine.  Follow the directions to complete the graph about the flowers.  Which color has the most flowers?  Which has the least?  How can you tell?

6.       Bible Story:   It’s CHAPEL DAY

Watch the video from Pastor Mark and Pastor Andy.

While you wait for the video this afternoon, go outside, lie on blankets, and look up at the sky.  Blow bubbles and watch them float.  Have your child name “sky things” that God made (e.g., birds, rain, sunshine, stars).  Talk about Jesus’ ascension.  Emphasize that Jesus went to His home in heaven, but because He is our all-powerful God, He is also right here with us at all times.  We can’t see Him, but He never leaves us.  Say, Wherever I go, whatever I do, God is with me.  Jesus is with us now.  What is He doing?  (Watching over us, taking care of us, keeping us safe, loving and forgiving us)
